2023 Freshwater Conference to be held Saturday, April 15 - Register now!

The Appalachian State University 2023 Freshwater Conference is a one-day conference focused on the theme “Fresh Water” and intends to explore the ways fresh water connects and affects us across cultures, industries, science, and art, both in Appalachia and in a broader context. The conference will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 8-4:30pm in 102 Sanford Hall.

The 2023 Freshwater Conference will feature 8 speakers, both internal and external to Appalachian State, from across disciplines, with a moderated discussion for each pair of speakers. Our intent is to foster meaningful, creative, and exciting discussion across disciplines to better understand the way freshwater connects us.
