Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: UNC System IPG Program - Internal Deadline 8/2/19

The UNC System has released the Requests for Proposals for the Inter-Institutional Planning Grant (IPG) funding program. The UNC Inter-Institutional Planning Grants (IPG) are designed to build capacity in research areas that are strategically important to North Carolina. The ultimate goal of the program is to incentivize collaboration among diverse institutions (required for this RFP) and diverse disciplines (encouraged for this RFP) to increase the UNC System’s success at attracting external funding for research. This program provides funding in the areas of health sciences; agriculture; water and the environment; advanced manufacturing; marine and coastal sciences; defense, military, and security; pharmacoengineering; energy; and data science. There is a strong emphasis on inter-institutional collaborations for these programs.

Appalachian is permitted to submit two proposals to this program. We are hosting an internal competition to determine our applicants.

The internal deadline for concept paper proposals is 12PM on August 2, 2019. Interested applicants can view full requirements and submit proposals for internal consideration using the link below.
