Description: The National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research.  Each Fellowship consists of three years of support usable over a five-year period. For each year of support, NSF provides a stipend of $34,000 to the Fellow and a cost-of-education allowance of $12,000 to the degree-granting institution.

Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. Jennifer Cecile and Professor of Health and Exercise Science Dr. Kelly Cole will share information about how to develop competitive proposals. Additional sessions can be scheduled to review proposal components, like the Personal, Relevant Background and Future Goals Statement and the Graduate Research Plan Statement.

This event invitation is extended to all faculty mentors and students (undergraduate and graduate) who work in areas of study supported by the National Science Foundation.
