Recording Available - Research Forum: STEM and the Humanities at Appalachian

The Office of Research is building research community by hosting virtual research forums for faculty to share research and scholarship on the same topic. This week the Office of Research hosted a research forum focused on the intersection of STEM and the Humanities, and a recording is now available via the Office of Research YouTube channel to view anytime.

The following faculty presented their work:

  • Savannah Paige Murray | English | “The Dam Fighters: Grassroots Activism and Environmental Rhetoric Along the French Broad River”
  • Nicole Villarreal | Applied Design | "Clothes and Computers: Making the Physical Virtual"
  • Rebecca Witter | Sustainable Development | “Where Science Meets Story: Getting to Justice Amidst Excess Excrement in Eastern NC”
  • Richard Elaver | Applied Design | “Organic 3D Modeling in Biology and Design”

Thank you to the presenters for taking the time to share their research!

The Office of Research also offers assistance in finding external funding for research, creative and scholarly endeavors. If you are interested in finding funding to support any of these research areas, please reach out to Grants Resources & Services (grs@appstate.edu).
