Reminder! Blackout period for IRB applications: April 18 to May 2

The Cayuse Human Ethics module, which is replacing IRBIS to manage human subjects research protocols, will be live and accepting submissions on April 18. At this point, shell data (PI, title of the study, etc.) for the majority of the existing and active studies have been transferred from IRBIS to Cayuse. Attachments and detailed responses to questions will need to be transferred manually. Users can transfer study data themselves, or Office of Research staff can transfer the data on your behalf provided you review the information for accuracy once it is transferred. Please contact irb@appstate.edu if you need assistance with transfer. To facilitate the complete transition from IRBIS to Cayuse Human Ethics, we will have a blackout period from April 18 to May 2. During the blackout period, we will transfer the shell data for the remainder of the existing studies into Cayuse and upload the attachments and additional information. Starting April 18 users will not be able to submit new studies, modifications, or renewals in IRBIS, but they will be able to access and view their existing studies. Cayuse will be available to receive submissions; however, we will not be reviewing submissions until the end of the blackout period. Please contact  irb@appstate.edu if you are concerned about the blackout period negatively affecting your research. As previously communicated, IRBIS will no longer be accessible after May 31, 2022.
