Sponsored Programs is pleased to announce that FY 2019 is off to a great start. Proposal submissions are well ahead of FY2018 with 30 submissions through the end of August seeking approximately $31.5 million; total requests for FY 2018 were about $26 million. Congratulations are extended to the 22 projects that have received funding through the end of August for $5.3 million, almost the same numbers for the prior year.
We’re still looking to fill some positions and are exploring some innovative ideas to not only meet your needs but also improve upon services. Departmental assignments were updated to assure full coverage prior to the beginning of the fall semester, but we will make adjustments as our positions are filled. Ms. Yingqi Wang will return Tuesday, September 25th, but Ms. Kerri McCaffrey will be out for a couple of weeks beginning Monday, September 24th.
