The Office of Research and Innovation is hosting the eighth annual Research and Creative Activity at Appalachian Event (RECAPP) on Friday, September 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hayes School of Music to celebrate all research, scholarship and creative endeavors of App State faculty and staff.
Presentation formats:
Oral presentations will be delivered in a five-minute lightning talk or rapid-fire presentation style. All presentations will be delivered in the Schaffel Concert Hall.
Printed posters will be displayed and presented between 4-5 p.m. Art pieces and/or performance submissions are encouraged, and applicants of these categories will be contacted to determine specific needs and timeframes.
Space is limited and presentations will be chosen to display a wide range of different topics and disciplines. Please submit your research, scholarship and/or creative endeavor abstract or information to be part of this event here.

Deadline for submissions: Monday, August 31 at 11:59 p.m.
Applicants notified of presentation acceptance or declination by Friday, September 4, 2026 at 5 p.m.
Presentation material is due Friday, September 11, 2026 (to be emailed to grs@appstate.edu)
