You're Invited! UNC Chapel Hill's University Research Week November 8th-12th

This year’s theme is Research Perseveres and throughout the week they will be highlighting the tenacity and dedication of Carolina’s researchers and students, and the strategic initiatives that make Carolina one of the top research institutions in the world.

The signature event for this year’s celebration is the Health of Our State and Beyond speaker series. Interdisciplinary teams of researchers will share how they are tackling some of the greatest challenges facing our state after winning Creativity Hubs funding. These challenges include building coastal resilience, identifying the causes of deadly obesity, developing antiviral therapeutics to stop the next pandemic, and providing affordable, sustainable access to clean drinking water.

In addition, there will be presentations by award-winning graduate students,  postdoctoral scholars, early-career faculty, and researchers in health equity. Workshops for students who are interested in pursuing independent research and professional development opportunities for faculty and staff round out the celebration.
